Looks like this exact error is unfixable without adding "login" functionality.

@yura
Again? What version?

It was broken in 0.27.0 recently. But then quickly fixed with 0.27.1

@jdoe latesr version. It's a bit older issue. When I try to open video in browser it also doesn't play until I log in or change the IP address where it doesn't ask to log in (and new pipe also starts working in that case).

I wasn't affected by it until now.

@yura @getimiskon Yeah. There is no alternative to it - while there is Nebula offering high quality content, it's not open like Youtube.
There would have to be yet another company to offer something similar to Youtube, but due to our fucked up neolibertarian bullshit system it's mathematically impossible to compete with Youtube since they literally run on a huge loss to prevent any competition. Not to mention the disgusting ad system it depends on.

@Natanox not gonna lie, i the idea behind it is nice, but it's sad that it isn't more accessible to people who might not have the option to pay (lots of people would pay for good stuff if they could).

@getimiskon @yura Well, yeah. Creators do own a share in Nebula though, so if you got a good idea how to finance a more open system without resorting to ad garbage I'm sure they're open for it.

Cheaper tiers with limitation to 720p30 would be an idea. However they already are cheaper than other streaming services.

@Natanox i don't know exactly how it works, so i can't say much about it. As for the 720p30 limitation on a cheaper tier, personally it doesn't seem like that much of a limitation to me.

@getimiskon @yura Consuming videos on smartphones? 😉

On TVs or big monitors the difference is very much visible. Then of course there's the higher bitrate usually used with 1080p presets. Personally I'd absolutely pay a little bit more to get at least 1080p, Though I see how many would prefer save a few bucks.

@Natanox not only on a smartphone, but also on my laptop, which display isn't that great.
