@atlas_core the audio support on macOS in general is crazy good. Too bad most music players on that platform fucking suck

@getimiskon TRUE.
No music players are good. Audirvana is the only "just okay" one, and it's expensive as fuck. Really, I just use XLD and iTunes/the "Music" app.

@atlas_core when i boot to macOS, i tend to use ncmpcpp on a terminal, like i do on my linux system. It just works nicely. I also have DeaDBeeF installed, but it lacks a few features from the linux version which i use, mostly things related to appearance.

@getimiskon I arrived into macOS to NOT have to use a terminal, dammit.

@atlas_core oh, by the way, apple music is the worst default player i have ever used, even worse than microsoft's thing.

every time it makes a directory i don't fucking need in my music collection. WHY?! neocat_angry

@getimiskon eh, I disagree. with XLD it's "usable," whereas Microsoft's Windows 11 Media Player just fuckin sucks. it plays music, sure, but the library sorting is shit (kept seeing the composer as "OH! THAT'S THE ALBUM ARTIST!" and it doesn't remove "The" from alphabetical sorting, my favorite sin.

@atlas_core haven't really used Windows 11, so i have no idea how its music player works. At least the default player on Windows 10 is tolerable.

@atlas_core to me, macOS is just a more fancy Unix. And i don't even have an actual mac.
