I only tread or think like the "darker" side of the Fediverse when I'm pissed. When I'm having a decent time I'm just happy, not really thinking about that side.
Man, I must be a pretty pissed person overall, huh.

@atlas I feel like being in the grey zone of fedi. Not bad enough to include in most blocklists, but not an overly sanitized hugbox either.

@jeff A bad definition, I admit. Another term could be "alt fedi".
I'm generally meaning the more political, unconventional side of the Fediverse. I think less about that when I'm, as one could say, "happy", I guess.

@getimiskon me neither, really. My goal isn't to stick with one side or the other. Yet because I'm not in the "not dark" area then they reject me and the dark side is all I have left.

Cough cough, fediblock post saying my instance should be fediblocked for MINOR THINGS with no communication with me.

@atlas to be honest, I miss the good old days of fedi, when we didn't talk about "alt-fedi" or shit like that. There were a few shitty instances to avoid and that's pretty much it.

@getimiskon I much prefer a utopia where those types of characteristics just shouldn't matter.
So what if you adhere to a mentality, why should that be a reason for me to automatically dislike you, or for you to harass everyone?
So what if I have 3 disorders, should they even matter? In my case, it does not matter, hence why I never bring them up; that's not at all what I want to be known for.

@atlas there is politics hidden under every stone online. the trick is not to go looking for it, you'll find it even in the cleanest and happy parts, that's where the worst most metastisized kinds fester tbh, right under the rocks never flipped over in the warmest sunniest spots, because no one over there ever even considers it a possibilty.
