i'm very happy to announce that the catto.garden Akkoma instance is functional.
Things are gonna be a bit rough for some time, because of the way federation works, but hopefully we can start accepting users soon.

i really want to try setting up OpenBSD on my laptop, replacing the hackintosh partition. Hopefully, the Wi-Fi card should work. We'll see...

- Pose as a progressive with an interest in certain pet causes (e.g., veganism, atheism, etc.)
- Declare free speech as an absolute right
- Push the idea that all viewpoints have equivalence
This strategy, though, only works if they have power over communities and there’s no escape hatch.
Which is why building redundant communities on multiple servers (and software) is so important.
For example, there should be no default video game community.
