for some reason my scroll wheel breaks on every wireless mouse i've ever owned. is this something common or do i just have bad luck?

and if so what's a good wireless mouse so i don't get that again.

(it genuinely doesn't scroll anymore in either direction, and the scroll wheel button, which i use a lot, just doesn't register at times)

@prefetcher most scrollwheels seem like shit to me. But I usually buy cheap mice, maybe that's the issue.

@prefetcher I’ve been using the g305 lightspeed for like two years? Maybe longer. My scroll still works and the button too! But like all Logitech mice, I always end up killing the left mouse button. So keep that in mind blobfoxcrylaugh

But for me I just replace the left and right mouse button switches when that happens [:

Oh and anecdotally I’ve never had a scroll wheel stop working lol

@prefetcher is it possible that gunk or filth is getting into it?

@booty
@prefetcher

It's shocking how easy it is to replace the mouse buttons on these mice.

I've amassed a collection of E-waste wireless mice without dongles at work and I just rip out their switches for the inevitable button failure on my MX Ergo m575 haha
