is there anything like openbox/icewm/jwm but for wayland? how is labwc?

found a list of compositors and most part of it is tiling like they didn't invented anything better

@a1ba Wayfire, surprisingly. If you disable unnecessary fluff that is 3d animations, it's lightweight enough so RaspberryPiOS uses it now.

@a1ba labwc is actually fine, I love it. Too bad some applications I run just don't work well on Wayland. Otherwise I would consider using it even more. Also some bars don't work, because who needs IPC on Wayland?

So yeah, Wayland is pretty much just tiling WMs, labwc, maybe wayfire, GNOME, KDE, maybe enlightenment if it's your thing.

@a1ba labwc is the closest we have, but it's still very unpolished, and it only supports the openbox theme config partially

@a1ba @rnd labwc is fucking AWESOME it has the best devs ever. it's not that it only partially supports openbox configs its that its chosen to not support fancy options like gradients and icons
