Andrew (Television Executive)

Lord help me, I'm walking in to a music store of my own volition.

And they had so little inventory I kind of regret the trip. Just completely picked over.

Real shame.

Alright, that an hour of guitar playing. I'm going to go order some gear online and have lunch.

Alright. Gear ordered.

I'm gonna sound like 10 people at once.

I'm gonna sounds like a city full of people.

I'm gonna sound like an army of slightly out of tune children who have just learned some power chords.

It'll be great.

I got a bass amp, a less aggressive octave fuzz (the one I have is fuckin' sick, but it isn't subtle. I want something that can be subtle occasionally), and a regular fuzz. I'll pair this with occasional use of my very aggressive octave fuzz, my regular (spring reverb) amp, and a chorus pedal.

The way I have it mapped out in my head it will give me all the sounds of a fairly clean normal guitar, a second much fuzzier guitar, a fuzzy guitar at an octave up, a bass guitar (one octave down), and a bass guitar two octaves down, spread over two amps.

I'll also retain the ability to also make everything sound like it's on fire.

And I get to do with all with a pretty tiny pedal board in the grand scheme of things. (Like 3 pedals most of the time, 4 at most, and 90% of the work is coming from two of them.)

To be clear, none of this will make me sound better, but it will make me sound more.

Lots more.

A gaggle of power chords.

And I was able to do it all with giftcards, so I'm not out of pocket for any of it.

I'm working on a cover of the Spongmonkey's We Like The Moon: https://yt.drgnz.club/watch?v=I9MZNEXrElw

Well... that's not a fair thing to say. It's not like the song is complicated or anything (it's only even really a song if you squint.)

I'm working on a rendition of We Like The Moon that sounds like the kind of song a couple of teenagers who wanted to be the white stripes would have written in 2006 (because, let's be real, that's barely not what I am.)

@iacore hmmm... I guess that depends on your workflow. Have been using FL Studio for years and it's alright to me, even on Linux under Wine (not that it doesn't have its issues).
