In my list of instances I might want to create a new account on, I could register a *key account on raccoon.quest actually

@getimiskon definitely with an interesting community, too, which is part of my reasoning.

@atlas_core i actually have an account here, also I talk with the people there, and I know they are all nice. And the instance is comfy, is *key is your thing. Mine isn't tbh.

@getimiskon I recall on absturztaube, I somewhat enjoyed the experience. felt cozy.
my biggest issue, and that's one I don't hold against the service at all, is I probably didn't belong in the community there. it was very "fun," cutesy for the lack of a better term, compared to my usual relative seriousness.

@atlas_core I see. Every instance on fedi is pretty much its own community.

@getimiskon absolutely.
the mastodon.online one was a rather silent, focused but diverse one; the one on linuxrocks.online was populated with more nerdy folks that still liked fun; the one I'm on right now is, apart from less "active" than it was, equally nerdy, more serious about certain things.. for the lack of better terms.

@atlas_core yeah, even my small instance has a small community, that i could describe as silly.
Maybe i'll open it up a bit when i think it's the right time to do so.
