My fresh system was booting slowly, and the friendly folks over at Void’s channel on IRC helped me quickly diagnose and repair my issue: it was a bug in the nouveau drivers for the Nvidia gpu. Their fix circumvented the problem, and now all’s fine.

All this simply confirms what I already knew: that is the best distro across all galaxies in the universe.

@gandalf i see... personally i use nvidia's proprietary drivers and i'm fine with those

@simplycorbett It’s got its own package system. The package system (xbps) was first built because it’s super fast, then Void Linux was built around it as a new project so xbps can be used.

@simplycorbett Not based on Arch (it’s an “independent distro”).
