@irisnk@village.elrant.team That's really damn valid. I left the egg_irl sub a while back because it made me unnecessarily doubt a lot about my own identity.

(I was going to say that just certain aspects of it are bad but) Now that I think about it; the invalidating of gnc folks, and calling anyone who is questioning or derivates from cisnormativity an "egg", it's just awful and annoying.

Although, in my personal opinion, it's ok if someone wants to apply the egg metaphor for themselves (and for others if they consent to/aren't uncomfortable with it), otherwise they're just toxically gaslighting others.

@irisnk@village.elrant.team tl;dr: Former egg_irl user here. I knew it was kind of bad, but after thinking it for a second I realized denying gnc people's identities and calling such "eggs" is annoying and ew-ish. Still ok if people want to apply the egg metaphor to themselves or consenting others.

PS: Now genuinely though, thanks for doing this post. I didn't really get to critically think about it until now, and this kind of helped me.
