Hello there. If you know any source for (background) music that's suitable for stuff like podcasts, please let me know.
Thank you.

@getimiskon
There’s YouTube channels that have large repositories of royalty free or copyright free music. BreakingCopyright NoCopyrightSounds

@wjmaggos might know, he lists a lot of creative commons music used in his show in the episode notes

If you want more than you can hope to search there’s the audio & music section on archive.org
By clicking around I found this fun track

@gabriel thanks for the suggestions. I know those channels on YouTube could be helpful, but I wasn't sure if they could be used outside of it.

@getimiskon@fedi.getimiskon.xyz Nine Inch Nails released "Ghosts I-IV" through a permissive CC license, essentially 36 basic soundtracks or background music one can use.
I think the multi track files are also available online, also licensed to allow remixes.
Might be worth something.

@getimiskon@fedi.getimiskon.xyz There might also be some indie artists or albums that allow folks to just use their music for whatever, I believe the Business Casual net label often has some. Do check closely; some artists say they don't mind on, say, Twitter or elsewhere despite Bandcamp claiming all rights are reserved on a release.
