the whole drama with those privacy android roms is pretty much turning me away from using them tbh

@mikoto Of course its graphene again. Nope I will stay clear of that. They never really supported any of my phones anyway so akko_shrug

I'm just gonna use the stock rom until support is dropped and then I'll probably use lineage

graphene os devs were at each other's throat at some point

@NeonPurpleStar @getimiskon I don't really see lineage as a "privacy" rom anyways, which in this case is probably a good thing

@NeonPurpleStar compared to MIUI, it's better, but to me, the last few versions of LOS feel much more restricted than they used to, probably because of google's fuckery.

@mikoto lineage is as much "vanilla" android as you can get

@mikoto @getimiskon i had bought a fairphone phones preflashed with the e OS thing from this french company and i never bothered doing anything on my on own for mobile software

if the vendor wants to sabotage the shit out of something, i am not going to waste my time

the phone market is just evil

@mikoto pretty much one of the reasons that keeps me getting closer to an iphone, for better or worse

@NeonPurpleStar i'll be honest, i would consider getting a fairphone device, but unfortunately, they dropped features i personally use, like the headphone jack (i listen to music a lot, not dropping that)

the android modding community is basically on life support these days and this sort of thing doesn't help that perception

@mikoto Thats what I am doing right now with my Fairphone 3+ Lineage is fine most of the time. Not the most data friendly or privacy-protecting. But better than a stock-rom that does not get any updates.
