Here's where it gets really crazy (I have no idea how this works (or if it does) outside of the U.S.)…

The IRS regards any physical product sitting in a warehouse as "revenue not yet generated" and taxes it accordingly. So, during the initial COVID lockdown, any company that sold anything and especially toilet paper, was able to effectively evade taxes legally by completely liquidating everything in their warehouses immediately. The U.S. tax year starts/ends April 15th; the first lockdown happened in the U.S. officially starting on March 13th, which happened to be a Friday. Think about it.
