@asahiXP iPhones work pretty well alongside linux, better than windows in my experience, at least on “just works” distros

@asahiXP kind of unrelated but ive got a macbook at work now and ive had quite a lot of issues with it like not being able to install third party apps because of a bug that required updating the entire system lol

@asahiXP not tested it ever with an iphone. I really don't like the iphone ux, but I don't see why it should have any issues with linux, but I guess with macos there might be some bonuses? I hate the ux of that too so never bothered testing

@asahiXP I've tried macOS on my laptop for a while (I still have the pics when I ran bloat on the browser, lol). I like it more than Windows but it's still not my favorite option.

Don’t fall for the apple meme, the OS is borderline unusable if you do anything besides browsing the normienet and social media.

@dushman I ran hackintosh, so I know first hand that's more or less true.

macOS doesn’t stop you from doing poweruser stuff which is good

@dushman yeah, I know. And that's why I was able to run it on my toaster. It's literally NormieBSD

@dushman unless you want to develop anything on it, and you run a slightly outdated version. Good luck getting the tools you need.

macOS is passable from a purely functional perspective. iOS though is unusable trash.

@asahiXP not gonna lie, it was kind of fun to use. I still have the OS on a USB, but I don't feel like messing with UEFI to set up Clover to run this.

Depends of what you consider 'poweruser stuff'.

Disagree, both are trash, the reason Crapintosh allows some more stuff is because the bunch of soydevs working in dogshit companies use them for production of malware, not just consuming. Wait until Crapintosh becomes cloud based and they divide consumer and production releases, the consumer side will just be iOS for desktop.

@sigmasternchen @asahiXP KDEconnect is now available for iphones, although with less features compared to android due to iOS limitations.
