Still, this show limiting/shadow banning thing is a problem. Block people if you want to but don’t gaslight them.

Probably a good time for a post on the subject given I now have about the same number of people following me here as I did when I closed my Twitter account.

Also they should have improved their moderation to avoid spamming people from other instances. That's actually the reason I blocked them.

stephanie@ottawa.place@Em0nM4stodon @aral @babe I'm trying to remember why we would use Limit on an account (on my old instance). It was quite rare. Sometimes for NSFW accounts that posted a lot, so they wouldn't be in the local timeline, while not deserving a ban. Or an account that was receiving a lot of reports, but still had follows from our instance, so it wouldn't break connections... But yeah, this should not be the preferred moderation action in general.
