Autistic masking is similar to when I have to use my customer service voice with customers at dayjob.

It's just code switching combined with a suppression of my innate desire to infodump or speak/write a lot.

I can't hang around "neurotypical" people for very long. It's very exhausting.

That's one reason I like to go to the Queer Computer Club space, its a very neurodiverse space and nobody is gonna bother me about infodumping or zoning out staring at a wall.

like I can put on my AirPods Pro in noise cancelling mode and nobody is gonna think I'm being rude for not socializing because they know I'm not in the mood for that in that moment.
