@witix@transfem.social weren't you anti-authoritarian as issued on your bio?
anyway, neat meme. Funni joke :3
@cubet@plasmatrap.com hmmmm
Technically speaking, the red flag was the original anarchist symbol
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anarchist_symbolism#Red_flag
Though then ofc revolution in Russia happened, it got adopted by an authoritarian, history stuff, bweh
@cubet@plasmatrap.com I guess I could bisect the flag diagonally and make one half black to perfectly align with my actual views but as mentioned in hashtags, it be stolen so I didn't bother

"The Communist Party of Soviet Russia abolished all pre-1917 laws, including those related to sexuality. In 1917, the Soviet government also decriminalised homosexuality, and the subsequent Soviet criminal code in the 1920s left out the criminalization of non-commercial same-sex sexuality between consenting adults in private. The Sexual Revolution in Russia, a 1923 four-page pamphlet written by Grigorii Batkis, noted that Soviet law post-1917 regarded gay sexual practices to be part of normal human sexual behaviour, and did not criminalize them as all matters of sex were a private matter."

@NeonPurpleStar@outerheaven.club @getimiskon@fedi.getimiskon.xyz because Stalin
And Lenin specifically told his coworkers that Stalin cannot be allowed to rule russia
Besides, you do realize the red flag with hammer and sickle doesn't belong only to the Soviet Union, right? Communism was more of a movement than a country, as any definition you can find suggests.
@bartholin@fops.cloud @NeonPurpleStar@outerheaven.club @getimiskon@fedi.getimiskon.xyz this was exactly who I meant to bring up thank you lmao
@NeonPurpleStar@outerheaven.club @getimiskon@fedi.getimiskon.xyz sorry but google's quick response with no link to the source whatsoever has the same credibility as a notepad file to me
And back then everyone thought homosexuality was bad due to the fact the world was still waking up after a few thousand years of fearing the sky daddy and listening to everything the church tells people
@getimiskon@fedi.getimiskon.xyz @NeonPurpleStar@outerheaven.club I'm not whitewashing anyone and I'm not a tankie. However I'm not going to agree with someone who thinks communism is bad just because they can't tell the difference between an authoritarian and anarchist revolutionists
@getimiskon@fedi.getimiskon.xyz @NeonPurpleStar@outerheaven.club I... never said your point is incorrect because of a typo?
@NeonPurpleStar@outerheaven.club @getimiskon@fedi.getimiskon.xyz doesn't mean a search engine led by sociopaths is any more trustworthy than a "you won an iPhone17 Pro" ad
@NeonPurpleStar @getimiskon @bartholin @witix You do realise that there is much more to communism than failed revolutions revolving around centralization of power?
Soviet state capitalist regime had nothing to do with the marxist definition of communism, which was supposed to be stateless society where workers own the means of production, all of this based on "from each according to ability, to each according to needs".
Soviets turned this 180* up and decided that well we can just make the state own the means of production and it would be totally the same, as workers will control the state (yeah, totally) and it all wont just make the state another capitalist. And once the threat of capital is gone the state is TOTALLY going to abolish itself. You just have to trust me on this one bro - Lenin.
No doubt the revolution has failed to bring the liberation it promised if it quite literally got hijacked by authoritarians who just wanted to replace the ruling class.
@NeonPurpleStar @getimiskon @bartholin @witix Also, the example of Makhno is really great. He quite literally led an anarchocommunist revolution which fought against the soviets and the whites for the liberation of Ukrainian people. So I don't know why would you block someone for saying that "Makhno is based" as a reply to argument that communism is inherently antiukrainian (well thats at least what I got from your reply, if you actually meant something different dont hesitate to correct me on this one)
@NeonPurpleStar@outerheaven.club @getimiskon@fedi.getimiskon.xyz
What does any of this have to do with what I said?
Was the communist movement in the United States a small state next to USSR?
Were the Spanish anarcho-communists a small state next to USSR?
Was the antifascist movement held by Paul Langevin in France a small state next to USSR?
If you have to associate everything with a state then no wonder you have zero idea what communism actually is
@NeonPurpleStar@outerheaven.club @getimiskon@fedi.getimiskon.xyz so you could have just said you're part of the "rational right" and get mad at memes that target no one but the status quo, you'd save us all the time
@NeonPurpleStar@outerheaven.club @getimiskon@fedi.getimiskon.xyz what
there is no depiction of nuking a country
@NeonPurpleStar@outerheaven.club @getimiskon@fedi.getimiskon.xyz "I wish for destruction of the old order and think giant expensive buildings the working class built for useless politicians make good kindling"*
Also I find it really funny how once your point with communism being the same thing as the soviet union was debunked you move right on to the next element that slightly offends you. Perhaps you'd like me to go over the image pixel by pixel?
@NeonPurpleStar @getimiskon @witix You do realize that the image of burning capitol here is a symbol for the abolishment of current oppressive order? The "destruction of the United States" part is not really what you imagine. You probably imagine us, evil leftists wanting to burn the US into the ground and leave nothing behind as a part of our bloody sacrifice. While in reality, all of leftists just want to change the way of the distribution of power. Which may involve abolishment of state, which we could call "destruction of the United States", but it doesnt involve killing literally every living being here, burning the ground and then covering it with salt. Just after the abolishment of state, they live in a Federation of United Communes of America (FUCA is a really funny name for some reason), instead of United States, which really doesnt sound that scary as you want to portrait it.
Its not about destroying a country, but about destroying the apparatus of power which oppresses people.
@NeonPurpleStar @getimiskon and not gonna lie, I did use to be like you
What did change is I realized that actual definition of communism is far from… whatever the fuck Stalin and Lenin did, and the whole “Communism is bad!11!11!!!” bs comes from what one could consider proxies of none other than business executives who think starving Bolivian children for Lithium is a fun thing to do. Despite what you might think I do despise tankies, but that doesn’t mean I’m going to value profit and status quo over equality and freedom
@NeonPurpleStar@outerheaven.club @getimiskon@fedi.getimiskon.xyz sure, whatever dad /s
@NeonPurpleStar@outerheaven.club @getimiskon@fedi.getimiskon.xyz you've already been told multiple time on this thread that the red flag with the sickle and hammer is stateless and didn't belong to the Soviet Union, if you still refuse to acknowledge it then that's the best response I can think of
@NeonPurpleStar@outerheaven.club @getimiskon@fedi.getimiskon.xyz I've also heard this line multiple times
Like, you know, Lenin himself saying that USSR's economy isn't real communism but, "a monopoly of the state for the good of the people"
If you want to see real communism maybe you should go back in time and ask that America doesn't try to assassinate every leftist leader just because "socialism/communism bad"
@NeonPurpleStar @getimiskon @witix Its kind of like pointing at North Korea, calling it democratic (because it calls itself democratic, just as every other false liberation authoritarian revolution) and then saying that any attempt at democracy you do not like was not real democracy.
There were (and still are) multiple cases of real liberatory movements which actually achieved a lot. Just to point at some, current liberatory movements look at Zapatistas, or Rojava. These are the examples we should follow.
And you know what usually happens when a movement like this actually achieves success? It gets crushed by the forces of capital.
@NeonPurpleStar@outerheaven.club @getimiskon@fedi.getimiskon.xyz "diabolism"
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Salvador_Allende#Coup
If you think negative facts about a country are diabolism, you may be a nationalist.
@NeonPurpleStar@outerheaven.club @getimiskon@fedi.getimiskon.xyz what were you doing in an anarchist forum anyways? Reporting to Trump?
And no, my focus is not being anti-america lmao, I literally did not say a word about america on this profile that I can recall until you showed up, deeply offended by a flag representing a movement and claiming that I support Soviet Union in any way
Both USSR and America are shitholes which did one or two good things by accient in their entire history
